| Founded in 1998, and based in Christchurch, New Zealand, The Light Site provides theatrical lighting solutions for stage productions, corporate events and outdoor concerts throughout the country. Company founders Grant Robertson and David Bosworth each have over 20 years experience within the theatre industry, both in New Zealand and offshore. With their combination of Lighting Design and Rigging experience there was a solid foundation for the formation of a lighting hire and production company. |

Grant has been designing lights for theatre in New Zealand since 1988, when he started as resident designer at The Court Theatre in Christchurch. Since leaving the Court Grant has designed for companies around New Zealand with many Musical Theatre and Opera productions such as Les Miserables, 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof and Beauty and the Beast. He has also designed lighting for many corporate and outdoor events including the Christchurch City Council's Starry Nights and Classical Sparks concerts. Grant was commissioned under the Art in Public Places programme to design and install the coloured LED lighting on the New Brighton Pier. |
